Who are We?

"Human kind has not woven the web of life, we are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect. " -Chief Seattle

As educated, civilized and socially indoctrinated individuals, out default setting is to think of ourselves as being a physical body and not much else. In contrast, the various Spiritual systems of thought, belief and practice define us as a primary Spiritual being that is eternal, or at least transcendental, and only inhabits our physical form for a short time.

As rational, thinking individuals, we naturally look for evidence to support our beliefs and validify our experiences. As to the question of whether we are an organic robot or a Spirit temporarily inhabiting a physical form, there are two general categories of evidence. First, there are the "near death experiences" in which an individual clinically dies, leaves the body, has an "after life experience" and is then clinically revived and able to recall the experience. The second category is the "paranormal" realm of experience where an individual is able to consciously have out of body experiences, go on shamanic journeys, telepathically communicate with deceased or other dimensional intelligent beings, etc.

What both categories of evidence have in common is that they rely on individual perceptual experience. Detractors claim that all such experiences are "unscientific" and therefore invalid. This is not actually true. For something to be scientific only requires that an observation be repeatable under identical conditions. There is nothing in the scientific method that mandates that all observations be limited to the five physical senses and the instruments that extend them.

The fact that there are no good scientific theories tying mental perception and consciousness to standard physics causes many honest scientists to reject all of this a pseudoscience at best. Standard science and the honest scientists who adhere to its rules are handicapped by the restriction limiting science to materialist reductionist models. Consider that all of orthodox science is based on observations made by the five senses and with instruments used to extend the five senses. What if the observation capability was extended to include clairvoyance, telepathy, remote viewing, etc? The scientific principles of observation, modeling, experimentation and testing would still apply. The problem becomes that for something to be scientifically accepted, the phenomenon must be repeatable and it must be verifiable by different observers. In principle that is good, but the problem is that not all observers are equally clairvoyant. The situation is the equivalent of a group of blind scientists decreeing that all visual observations made by sighted scientists are invalid pseudoscience because they are blind and cannot verify them.

The simple solution to this issue is to train everyone to be psychic and to be proficient with clairvoyance, telepathy, remote viewing and related Spiritual faculties. While the mainstream view is that this is impossible, I beg to differ and in the rest of this book, I will present detailed information on how you can do this for yourself with an explanation of how it works.

With regard to the near death experiences, there are many books on this subject written by medical doctors and other professionals. One of the first authors to venture into this area was Dr Raymond Moody, MD. Now there is a number of books on this topic. It seems to be a popular subject.

So, what are we? Are we an organic robot, or are we a Spiritual being?

My own near death experience, out of body experiences and other experience have convinced me that I am a Spiritual being, not an organic robot.

What are you?
