Developing Spiritual Faculties

"We all have psychic talents-whether or not we've taken the time to tap them. The potentials are always there. Psychic development is like training for any sort of skill, a sports skill like tennis or martial arts or an artistic skill. There are certain "rules of living" that have to be followed in order to get the desired results. Psychic ability becomes the natural byproduct of a willingness to have God work through you to help others. That approach requires balance and a strong commitment to one's own ideals. The true source of psychic powers is God." -- Edgar Cayce

So, for those of us who are not particularly naturally psychic, can Spiritual Faculties be taught, learned and trained? The short answer is yes. Here are a few of the basic principles.

  • Our social programming has built in blocks to accepting psi experiences as normal. These blocks exist in many subtle and unconscious forms in our education and social programming. These blocks have to be confronted and reprogrammed.

  • Spiritual Faculties are perishable skills. Like sports, constant practice and use is required to maintain the highest levels of skill. When you don't use it, you start to loose it. Working psychics, those doing readings and providing related services are about the only individuals who openly use these talents. Others are professional remote viewers and a few internal martial artists. It is important to form associations of like minded individuals where you can express your talents without social sanction.

  • There is no secret formula or technique that leads to success. Acquiring Spiritual Faculties is a process. The process is one of personal growth in all of its dimensions and aspects.

  • In the course of study and practice, one will encounter all of their personal weaknesses, limitations and personality issues. The process includes digging up every last one of these, facing them, and resolving or overcoming them. This can be humbling and difficult. If you don't quit, it will be rewarding and worth the effort.

  • Being psychic doesn't automatically solve any of your problems. Being psychic does give you a greater depth of perception and additional tools to work with.

How you develop Spiritual Faculties goes something like this:

  • Meditation is a key practice. Not just any meditation, but meditation that is focused on reconnecting with the Source.

  • Energy development is also a key practice. All of the ancient, traditional, and indigenous systems of healing, journeying, divination and enlightenment in the world recognize and use the concept of vital energy as a core element of their methods. In India it is called "Prana." In China it is called "Chi." In Japan it is called "Ki." Among Kung bushmen it is called "Boiling Energy." The Kahuna of Hawaii and Polynesia call it "Mana."

  • Your mental attitudes, concepts and phylosophy must be upgraded to accept and process the phenomenona and experiences that you will encounter. In other words, you have to acquire the knowledge that relates to the understanding of these phenomena and experiences.

  • You will have to do additional work related to resolving your personal issues. The instruction that follows relates to the energy work aspect of this process. It does not replace counseling and other supporting measures.

The Path The Path is a book about the Spiritual journey that we all take. Who are we, why are we here, what is consciousness, what is enlightenment, how do we grow Spiritually? There are detailed instructions on basic and advanced meditation and the Kuji-In or nine syllables meditation from Hindu, Buddhist and Ninja traditions. There are also instructions on using forgiveness and recapitulation to recover energy and resolve karma.
